MPEG 1 & 2 Encoding: Video Impressions offers complete MPEG 1 and 2 encoding services from a wide variety of tape sources, including D9, D2, 1", Beta SP, Beta, 3/4SP, S-VHS, VHS, PAL-VHS, and Hi-8. Our Optibase Composer 200 real time encoding system delivers excellent compression results to meet your most demanding requirements. Encoded files can be provided as Video Elementary, Audio Elementary, System, Video CD, or Program. Bit rates range from .5 to 5 Mb/sec for MPEG 1 and 2.5 to 50 Mb/sec for MPEG 2. Along with our MPEG encoding services, we also offer a full range of custom CD-ROM and DVD programming and authoring capabilities. 	*A clip is defined as one set of in and out points on a tape. All encoded files are delivered on CD-R discs, (650 MB max). Larger files can be delivered on Iomega Jazz for an extra charge. Maximum time per CD is a factor of the bit rate used for recording. Typically, about 65 minutes for MPEG 1 at 1.5Mb/sec and about 30 minutes for MPEG 2 at 3Mb/sec.
