Compositing & Special Effects:

A variety of digital compositing and special effects can be created at Video Impressions.  Scenes can be recorded onto digital video tape, (either D2 or D9), both on location or in one of our 2 in-house production studios.  They can then be transferred digitally into one of our Digital Fusion graphics workstations where an unlimited ranged of effects can be created.

In the Digital Fusion compositing software, any number of live action shots can be merged with 2D or 3D generated graphics.  

In the example below, the live talent is first recorded over a green screen background either on location or in one of our 2 production studios.  We then use the Digital Fusion software to reposition the recorded video and composite it into a 3D animation.  The final scene shows the talent inside of the 3D snow globe, with the "snow" falling both in front and behind the actress.  As the camera pulls out to reveal the entire scene, the compositing software creates a matching camera move for the talent, completing the final effect.
